There is only one road that leads to Key West, and that is US 1. You Pick-up US 1 in Florida City...gateway to the Keys and Key West. From Florida City, it is approximately a three hour drive.

From the Miami Airport take SR 836 West to the Florida Turnpike. Take the Turnpike South tell it ends in Florida City and US-1. Driving time is approximately three and a half hours.

From the Ft. Lauderdale Airport, take I-595 west to the Florida Turnpike South. Once on the turnpike, continue south till it ends in Florida City and US-1. Driving time is approximately four hours.

From Naples, Fort Meyers, Tampa and St. Pete take I-75 South till you reach the Florida Turnpike. Head south on the Turnpike tell it ends in Florida City and follow US 1 south to Key West.
